Gunbot Unlimited quickstart
Use this quickstart for a new Gunbot Unlimited installation. By the end, Gunbot is running, connected to the Gunbot Live workspace, and ready to use.
Have these ready:
- your Gunbot order confirmation email, which contains the order number and Gunthy wallet needed to complete the initial registration
- the public API key and secret for the first exchange account to connect with Gunbot
- a computer or server where Gunbot can stay running
If you still need to create an exchange API key, use the exchange API-key setup guides.
1. Download and start Gunbot
Download the Full install for your operating system from gunbot.com/downloads, extract it, and start Gunbot.
Use the operating-system guide if you need the exact startup steps:
Keep Gunbot running while you finish setup.
2. Open localhost and set the Gunbot password
On the same machine where Gunbot is running, open:
http://localhost:3001
If you changed the GUI port, use that port instead.
The first-run page asks you to create the local Gunbot password. Save it. You will use this password to connect Gunbot Live to this installation.

3. Complete the connectivity check
After saving the password, select the option to connect to Gunbot Live. This takes you to the page to check your connectivity.
Tunnel Mode is usually the easiest option. It lets Gunbot Live reach this Gunbot installation, without you needing to do additional network setup.
If you already have an address you use to reach Gunbot remotely, you can use that instead.
When the page shows that Gunbot can reach your bot, click the Connect to Gunbot Live button to continue with the next step.

4. Connect Gunbot Live
On live.gunbot.com, sign in with any of the supported providers. For example login with your Google account.
If the startup page asks How do you want to start?, choose First time running Gunbot to open Connect and register Gunbot. After completing the Prepare checklist, select Continue to connect. If the local connectivity check already opened the wizard with your address filled in, continue from the Connect step.
When not already prefilled, on Connect to your bot enter:
- a recognizable name, such as
Main trading - the Gunbot address from the connectivity step, using the protocol, hostname or IP address, and port fields
- the local Gunbot password in Password, directly below the address fields
- a current two-factor authentication code only if you enabled 2FA on this Gunbot installation
Select Connect to bot. Once the connection succeeds, the wizard stays open and advances to Finish registration.

5. Finish registration
Complete these fields in the same form:
- Order number: copy it from your order confirmation email.
- Wallet address: copy the Gunthy wallet address from the same email.
- Exchange: choose the first exchange account you want Gunbot to use.
- Public API key: enter that account's public API key.
Keep the matching API secret safely stored. You will need it in the next section, along with any additional credentials your exchange requires.
Select Finish registration. The wizard checks your order, registers the public API key to your Unlimited license, and saves the registered wallet address to this Gunbot installation.

The screenshot uses example values. Enter the details from your own confirmation email and exchange account.
All Gunbot installations using the same Unlimited license wallet can use registered keys. Add the secret separately on each installation that uses the exchange account. Registering the public key does not start trading.
6. Complete the exchange connection
After registration succeeds, the wizard shows Gunbot is ready and Exchange key registered. Select Complete exchange connection to open Settings > License with the exchange and public API key already filled in.

Enter the matching API secret and any additional credentials the exchange requires, such as a passphrase or account identifier, then save the exchange connection.

7. Confirm the connection
Setup is complete when:
- the Gunbot connection appears in the top-bar selector
- its status shows Running or Stopped
- the exchange connection is saved in Settings > License
- Trading settings > Add pairs can load markets for that exchange account
The bot can stay stopped until you are ready to configure trading.
