Connect an Existing Gunbot
Use this guide when Gunbot is already running and its license is already registered. You do not need to download Gunbot again, enter an order number, or create another license wallet.
You only need:
- The address that reaches the Gunbot interface.
- The GUI password for that Gunbot instance.
- A current 2FA code if the local interface requires one.
1. Add the Bot in Gunbot Live
Sign in at Gunbot Live, then open Settings > Gunbot URLs.
Select Add connection and enter:
- Connection name: a short label such as
Home botorMain VPS. - Bot address: the hostname, IP and port, or tunnel address that reaches Gunbot.
- Password: the GUI password for this Gunbot instance.
- Active connection: keep this enabled so the bot can be selected in Gunbot Live.
- 2FA: enable this only when the Gunbot interface requires a current 2FA code.

Select Add connection. When the connection succeeds, the bot appears in the saved profiles list and can be selected from the Gunbot Live navigation.
2. If Gunbot Live Cannot Reach the Bot
On the device running Gunbot, open:
http://localhost:3001/connectivity-check

Use Tunnel Mode for the simplest setup on most home networks. It creates a reachable address without requiring router port forwarding.
Direct access also works when you have a public hostname with trusted HTTPS or a public IP with the Gunbot port forwarded through your router and firewall.
After the check succeeds, select Connect to Gunbot Live. The hosted dashboard opens with the bot address and connection name prefilled; enter the GUI password to finish.
3. Confirm the Existing License
Open Settings > License. Gunbot Live reads the license wallet and registered exchange slots from the connected Gunbot instance.

Confirm that the expected wallet and license status appear. You do not need to repeat first-time order or wallet registration.
4. Manage Exchange Slots
The Connected exchanges section shows the exchange slots registered to the license. Use Add exchange only when you want to register another exchange and its API credentials.

Adding or reviewing a license slot does not start trading. Trading begins only after you configure pairs and start the bot.
Done
The existing Gunbot instance is now available in Gunbot Live. The bot continues to hold exchange credentials, run strategies, and place trades on its own device or server; Gunbot Live provides remote configuration, control, and monitoring.
Gunbot keeps running independently
If Gunbot Live is temporarily unavailable, that alone does not stop a bot that is already running.
Troubleshooting
The Bot Is Unreachable
Run the local connectivity check and try Tunnel Mode. For direct access, verify the hostname or public IP, port forwarding, firewall rules, and trusted HTTPS certificate.
The Password Is Rejected
Use the GUI password for this exact Gunbot installation. Different bots can have different passwords.
2FA Is Requested
Edit the saved connection, enable 2FA, and enter a fresh six-digit code.
A Tunnel Address Changed
Update the address under Settings > Gunbot URLs. Keep Gunbot and its tunnel running.
