Should I Use Hosted or Self-Hosted Gunbot Live?
Hosted and self-hosted Gunbot Live provide the same core workspace and trading controls. Hosted Gunbot Live gives you easy browser access, several remote bots in one workspace, and server-side backtesting for supported strategies. Self-hosted Gunbot Live runs from your own Gunbot installation.
Hosted Gunbot Live
Use live.gunbot.com when you want to open Gunbot Live from different locations without setting up remote access yourself.
Hosted Live provides:
- browser access from different locations without setting up your own remote access;
- one workspace for several remote Gunbot instances;
- server-side backtesting for many supported strategies, so those tests do not consume resources on the remote trading bot.
Your remote Gunbot instance still performs the actual trading. Hosted Live is the workspace used to configure, monitor, test, and control it.
Self-hosted Gunbot Live
Self-hosted Gunbot Live provides the same core workspace and trading controls from your own Gunbot installation. It is included in the main Gunbot download and normally runs on localhost, so a fully local setup needs only that one download. You can also make the local workspace accessible away from that machine if you want remote access.
Choose self-hosting when you prefer to keep the workspace on your own machine. Hosted Gunbot Live is usually easier when you want to open the workspace from different locations.
