Why Can a New Gunbot Pair Start Trading Right After I Add It?

Gunbot Live saves newly added pairs in the enabled state. If the selected Gunbot instance is already running, the new pair can begin normal strategy evaluation as soon as its configuration is applied.

If you plan to backtest the market and strategy, run the backtest before adding the pair.

To add the pair without starting it immediately:

  1. Stop the selected Gunbot instance.
  2. Add the market and save its strategy configuration.
  3. Review the saved pair in Trading settings > Active pairs.
  4. Disable the pair if you want to start the bot without letting that pair run yet.
  5. On a simulator bot, confirm Simulator mode and virtual balances before starting it.

Disabling a pair pauses only that pair. Stopping the Gunbot instance pauses trading across that installation.
