How Are Gunbot Pair Names Formatted?

Gunbot writes pair names as BASE-QUOTE, with the spending currency first and the traded coin second, separated by a hyphen. For example, USDT-BTC means buying BTC with USDT.

For common spot markets:

• USDT-BTC means buying BTC with USDT: USDT is the base currency and BTC is the quote currency.
• USDT-ETH means buying ETH with USDT: USDT is the base currency and ETH is the quote currency.
• BTC-ETH means buying ETH with BTC: BTC is the base currency and ETH is the quote currency.

When Gunbot Live provides a searchable market list, select the market there instead of typing the symbol yourself. If you do need to enter a pair manually, use Gunbot notation exactly.

Some derivatives exchanges can keep independent long and short positions for the same market. Gunbot may show those sides as separate pair names:

USDT-BTC-LONG
USDT-BTC-SHORT

Keep the -LONG or -SHORT suffix when Gunbot Live shows it because each side can have its own configuration and position.
